Before turning his hand to writing, James Hazel was a lawyer in private practice specialising in corporate and commercial litigation and employment law.

He was an equity partner in a regional law firm and held a number of different department headships until he quit legal practice to pursue his dream of becoming an author.

He has a keen interest in criminology and a passion for crime thrillers, indie music and all things retro.

James lives on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds with his wife and three children.

This was my first book by james and im hapy to say i will be reading more by james.
I like the way james write his story and how it drags you back in even when you have had to stop for some reason or other. The way he expalins things for you to understands helps as well.
Charlie priest is asked to help solve the most horrible murder in the most horrible way. Charlie learns the most shocking thing ever. And is glad he left the police force to be a lawyer. When the attorney general send charlie a letter he goes to see him to find hes been murdered and has to explain why he has turned up at the general attorneys house for to the police and to jessica whos brother was murdered after he had visited charlie the previous night and attacked charlie for the data that the general attorney sent him.
When they find who was behind all the murders and kidnapping of charlies receptionist and the general attorneys daughter they are both shocked and bafelled in to why and how they got away with it for so long to realise that a police officer was involoved with them.
The only thing what i dont get is the ending and why would james end it like that unless the story follows on which i hope it does as i did love this book and will give it 5 stars.

This was my first book by this author and I’m happy to say i really enjoyed it and i will be reading more of Shari books in future. My thoughts on this book it grabs you from the very beginning and the writing style is easy to follow with the story. The way the author wrote the book is books i enjoy more as its easy to follow and you remember more of the story as you go through the book unlike others I’ve read where I’ve struggled to remember some of the characters in the book. 

When your neighbour invites you to a party and on the invite says no children allowed and your babysitter has to cancel what would you do. Anne’s husband convinces her that the baby will be fine as they will only be next door and have the baby monitor on them and will take it in turns to keep checking on the baby. Marco Anne’s husband was the last person to check on their daughter Cora so when they finally leave the party to go home and find baby Cora missing Anne cant remember what happened when she went to feed her before Marco did the last check on her before they return home for night.

So when the police turn up and starts questioning them Anne rings her parents which Marco doesn’t get on with as they look down on Marco as not being good enough for their daughter Anne. So with Cora missing Annes parents offers to help in any way they can even when they get a ransom messgae for cora they pay it but all not that it seems…….

With so many twists and turns in this book its one to read especially when your having a reading block and no other book is grabbing you i would suggest that you give this a read as it is a truly good book.

So when Maisy and Duncan are shipped off to the unloving grandmothers they are feeling an abandoned but have got the most of the freedom they didn’t have before.
Not knowing whats happened to their mother or the reason why they was shipped off to their grandmothers they make the best of the situation they can.
Janice is their grandmothers housemaid and she is the one who shows them the love and attention they don’t get off their grandmother and father. Janice gives them both a bike so they can go out and explore. That’s when they come across the woman in the wood Grace deville.
They cycle back home to ask Janice about Grace and Duncan is hooked into finding out more about Grace so when Maisy decides she doesn’t want to go with him one day he goes on his own. They form an unusual friendship that only they now about.
So when Duncan goes missing and his grandmother shows no interest in finding him she demands her father is told but he reacts the same as her grandmother does. So its down to Maisy to find him but when its been a long time and no one has seen or heard anything they think the worst and have to try to get on with there life. Maisy decides to find a job in brighten she has gone against her fathers and grandmothers wises of not going to university and getting her qualifications. Until her job is nearing end she decides to go back and try once more to find Duncan and with the help of Grace they are shocked what they find out I won’t spoil it for anyone but I will put it this way I loved this book but then again i love all of Lesley’s books and if i can give it more than 5 stars then i would do. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend this book to everyone even none book people.
I like the style in how Lesley writes her books always draws you in from the very first page its just a shame I finish them so quickly this book only took me a few days to read and normally takes me a week or two to read books

I loved this book it tugged at the heart strings a lot with me. When Emma is out with her son and the worst thing happens to her as she’s getting on a train with him. Luckily there was a woman on train and took care of him till emma arrived at the next platform. Unbeknown to emma of the tragedy the woman went throu herself and is on planning to do with Emma’s baby. 
Even a kind stranger called rafe who stopped emma going under the train. Did everything he could to find Ritchie even travelled across the world to track him. Even thou he didn’t know emma and Ritchie I mean would you let a complete stranger help you find your child if he was lost or kidnapped. And even was going to cancel his trip round the world to stay with emma while she recovered from the cut Ritchie abductors gived her. But he went and then comes back to visit. But think him being an ex police officer helped emma more as he knew how the system works and had a few friends who gived him tip offs 
I felt the author did brilliantly with the story and got everything covered. Think the ending was perfect for this story and I can’t wait to read more off Abbie Taylor’s. 
Not more I can say about this book as it was that good it stays with you and tugs at your heart strings.
It was like reading bits of my life with how she felt being a single mum and struggling to come to turns with bringing a child up on her own.
